What’s New?

Where do I start?

There’s a lot going on. I recently formed a band after I was offered to play a gig at an original music festival in Daytona Beach. We had our first rehearsal a couple days ago and it went so smoothly. As much as I love performing as a solo act, I have always wanted to be the frontman of a band. Over the last couple of years I’ve tried so hard to form one but nothing really seemed to work out until last week. So hopefully this is the start of something new and exciting.

On another note, I’ve been writing a ridiculous amount of music, which is so refreshing. Since I am usually at my happiest when I am writing music  it’s safe to say that last week was one of the best weeks of my life. The new material came flooding in and I ended up staying in my room for about three days straight, playing from the moment I woke up the moment I fell asleep.

I felt so alive..

One of the songs I worked on has a John Mayer type feel and there’s another that has more of a Latin vibe. There’s even one that has a middle-eastern, harmonic minor flare to it. Although these songs have genres that are unlike each other, they somehow mend into each other with a similar style and I think people will end up really enjoying them.

Furthermore, I’m going to start recording my music video on the 15th of February and I’m meeting with the production team on Tuesday to make sure everything is set. The first day of shooting will last about 8 hours and the second day will last about 4. There will be multiple locations for the shoot, including Diamond View studios located in Tampa.

Slowly but surely, things are starting to fall in to place and I have now successfully filled you in on about half of what’s going on in my life right now. I guess the other half is for another blog.
