2016

Category: In The Studio

Even though 2016 has just began it has already been one of the most interesting years of my life. Currently there are three things that I am really looking forward to:

1.I landed a gig ate the House Of Blues on April 6th and the second I get on stage I plan on going crazy… I applied to a program called “Bringin’ Down The House”, which is a national emerging artist pipeline designed to expose young talent and I was chosen,, along with five other artists, to represent the city of Orlando. After receiving my acceptance letter you can only imagine that I went bat shit crazy with excitement. Recently I found out that out of all of the cities Orlando had the most applicants too, which is super cool!
2. My music video. After 16 hours of shooting the recording process is finally complete. Now all I have to do is wait until the editing is done, which is going to take a lot of patience. Either way, I am 150% sure that it’s going to be worth the wait… The picture located above was taken during the second day of shooting. I really dig the whole 1960’s retro vibe we had going on in the studio. I plan on dedicating it to a good friend of mine, Johnny Riley, who recently passed away in a traffic accident. Although the lyrics were not written about Johnny, the upbeat chorus is what often reminds me of him and I think it will be a great way of celebrating his life.
3. My two new singles are so close to being complete and they are the bee’s kneeeeeeeeez! “Chemistry” has got to be the most genuine thing I’ve ever written about someone and “In Your Arms” is written in the perspective of a soldier who is stationed in Iraq. For the first time ever, I’m truly proud of the music that I’m making. I think it has passion and purpose to it, which is allowing me to gain more and more confidence
So, you can see why 2016 is a landmark year for me. It’s the start of something new, something exciting, and most importantly, something unforgettable.
